
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Channa
• 1/2 cup – Chopped Cucumber
• 1/2 cup – Chopped Tomatoes
• 1/2 cup – Chopped Spring onion
• 1/2 cup – Cabbage (Shredded) (optional)
• 2 tsp – Chat Masala
• 2 tsp – Lemon Juice
• 1/2 cup – Capsicum (optional)
• 1 tbsp – Salad Oil or Olive oil (Can be made without oil also).
• 2 – Green Chillies, finely chopped
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak Channa overnight.
- Tie them in a soft cotton cloth for 9 to 10 hrs.
- Keep in a warm place.
- Pressure cook the Channa till done. (Approx. 5 to 6 whistles)
- Place all the chopped vegetables (cucumber, tomatoes, spring onion, cabbage, capsicum) together.
- Drain out the water from the channa.
- Mix all the ingredients i.e. channa, chopped vegetables, chat masala, lemon, oil and salt.
- Refrigerate the salad for about an hour. Serve.
