• 1/4 cup – Roasted Channa dal/pottukadalai
• 1/2 cup – Peanuts
• 3 cups – Puffed Rice
• 2 – Dry Red Chillies
• Few Curry leaves
• 4 – Garlic Cloves (crushed)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp – Chilli powder
• Salt
• 1 tbsp – Oil


  1. Heat the oil. Fry the peanuts until they turn crispy.
  2. Take them out and fry the roasted channa dal to the same oil until they turn brown. Keep them aside.
  3. To the same oil, fry the garlic cloves, curry leaves and dry red chillies until they turn brown.
  4. Put the flame in simmer and immediately add the turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt to them.
  5. Fry for a few seconds. Add the already fried dal and peanuts. Saute for few seconds. Turn off the stove.
  6. Now mix this spiced dals and peanuts to the puffed rice.
  7. Toss gently until everything gets well mixed.
  8. Arrange them in an air tightened box and munch them without any guilt.
