
Ingredients:
• 1 can – Corn kernels
• 1 – big onion, chopped
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 cup – Tomato puree
• Salt – to taste
• 1/4 tsp – red pepper
• 1/4 tsp – coriander powder
• Haldi (turmeric) – a pinch
• Garam Masala – for flavour
• 1/2 cup – water
• Cilantro or coriander and Green chillies – to garnish
Method:
- Heat the oil, fry the onions till they are golden brown.
- Add tomato puree and all the masala powders (red pepper, coriander powder, salt etc), except garam masala.
- Let it sautee. When oil starts to rise, add corn.
- Add a little water and let it come to a boil.
- Lower the heat/gas and let the corn cook (till corn kernels get soft)
- Garnish with garam masala, green chillies and coriander and serve hot with rice or paranthas.
