
Ingredients:
• 2 kg – frozen pastry shells
• 2 Cloves – garlic, chopped
• 2 – medium sized Onions
• 1 tsp – Turmeric
• 2 tsp – fresh Lime juice
• 1 kg – minced Meat
• 1tbsp – shortening
• 1 – Clove
• 1 – Cinnamon
• 1 – Nutmeg
• 1 tsp – Black Peppercorns
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – ginger, grated
• 3/4 tsp – ground red pepper
Method:
- Melt shortening and saute onions and garlic.
- When onions turn brown, add ginger and other spices.
- Fry for 3 mins.
- Add the ground meat.
- Add a few drops of water and cook for a few minutes.
- Uncover and cook until the meat is cooked.
- Add the lime juice.
- While the mince cooks, bake pastry shells according to directions.
- Cut the tops off of the shells.
- Stuff the pastry with the meat and replace the top.
- Bake the stuffed shells for 5 mins.
- Serve warm.
