
Ingredients:
• 250 gms – Paneer, cubed
• For sauce:
• 100 gms – Tamarind
• 1 tsp each of ground cumin and Coriander seeds and dry Ginger powder
• A pinch of asafetida
• 1/2 tsp – Black salt
• A few dry Mint leaves
• 2 tbsps – Grated Jaggery
• Salt and chilli powder to taste
Method:
- Mix 1 tbsp turmeric powder in 2 cups water and soak paneer in it.
- Soak tamarind in 3 cups hot water for 15 mins and then strain out the pulp.
- Mix together the remaining ingredients with the exception of paneer and boil to sauce consistency.
- Drain out the paneer and float in the sauce.
- Decorate with chopped parsley or coriander leaves.
