Ingredients:
• 750 gms – sausages
• 4 – onions, sliced
• 3 – big potatoes, peeled and sliced
• 1 tsp – chopped Celery
• 1 tsp – chopped Mint
• 2 tbsp – Butter
• 4 tbsp – flour
• 4 tbsp – Milk
• 1 tsp – pepper powder
• salt to taste
Method:
- Melt the butter in a pan and stir fry the onions and potatoes for about 10 mins.
- Cut the sausages into fairly big pieces and mix in with the onion and potatoes.
- Add the pepper, salt and saute for 5 more mins.
- Transfer to an ovenproof dish.
- Sprinkle the chopped celery and mint on top.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water and shake the dish so that the water seeps to the bottom.
- Make a dough with the flour, milk and a pinch of salt.
- Roll out the dough. Dampen the edges of the dough and cover the contents of the dish with it.
- Mark the edges with a fork and prick all over to allow the steam to escape.
- Brush the top with a little milk.
- Bake in a moderate oven (355 degrees F) for about 45 mins.
- Serve hot with bread or with rice.
