Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Chicken
• 1 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 5 – black pepper Corns
• 5 – whole dry Red Chillies
• 1 inch piece – Ginger
• 6 Cloves – Garlic
• 1 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 3 – tomatoes, chopped
• Salt to taste
• Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds and black pepper corns and grind to a coarse powder.
  2. Grind red chillies, ginger and garlic to a fine paste.
  3. Heat ghee and oil in a pan.
  4. Add onion and saute till light brown.
  5. Add half the spice powder and chilli-ginger-garlic paste and saute for 3-4 mins.
  6. Add tomatoes and salt and continue to saute till the tomatoes become soft.
  7. Add chicken and stir.
  8. Add the remaining spice powder and mix.
  9. Add half a cup of water and stir.
  10. Cover and cook on medium heat till the chicken is done.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
