
Ingredients:
• Rice flour – 2 cups
• 1 – Onion finely chopped
• Ginger Garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
• Til – 1 tsp
• Channa Dal, soaked in water – 3 tsps
• Green chilli paste – 1 tsp
• salt to taste
• Oil
Method:
- Soak rice in water for 1.5 hours and drain the excess water. Let the rice dry for a while, so that there is no water content left.
- Grind the rice coarsely in a mixie (to look like rava).
- Cut green chillies and red chillies.
- Take a kadai, heat some oil, add mustard, urud dal, and the red chillies.
- Once the mustard splutters, add the green chillies and curry leaves.
- Add 2 to 3 cups of water, salt to taste and some perungayam powder. Let the water boil.
- Once it boils, add the rice flour and mix thoroughly.
- Cook on low heat 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool a little.
- Take a steamer and oil it. Then make small balls with the dough and steam them for 15 minutes.
- Serve with coconut chutney.
