
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – basmati Rice
• 1/2 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 1/4 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• pinch of Saffron soaked in 1/4 cup of Milk
• few drops of rose essence
• 4 tbsp – Ghee
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• dry fruits soaked in water
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 2 tbsp – Sugar
• 2 – 3 dry Red Chillies
Method:
- Heat ghee, add bay leaves. When they splutter, add rice followed by dry red chillies and cook for 2 – 3 mins.
- Add garam masala, nutmeg powder, saffron, dry fruits and add water.
- Follow with sugar and salt and let the rice boil.
- Cook until rice is done and no water is left. The water should get completely absorbed.
- Sprinkle essence.
- Serve hot.
