Ingredients:

• Asparagus – 1 bunch
• moong dal – 1/2 cup
• dry Red Chillies – 2 to 3
• Milk – 1/2 cup
• Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• oil – 1 tsp
• mustard – few
• Curry leaves – few
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Cilantro – few
• salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Cut the asparagus into tiny pieces.
  2. Put the moong dal and the cut asparagus into a cooker with a little water. Pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
  3. Grind the coconut, chilly, jeera with a little water.
  4. Add the ground mixture to the cooked asparagus and also the milk.
  5. Let it boil for a few minutes and add salt.
  6. In a pan heat a little oil and add urad dal, mustard, curry leaves and asafoetida.
  7. Once the mustard splutters and the urad dal is brown, add it to the asparagus.
  8. Add finely chopped cilantro.
