Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rajma (kidney beans)
• 1/2 cup – onion, minced
• 1/2 cup – Tomato puree
• 3 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 tsp – garlic, minced
• 1 tsp – ginger, minced
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste
Method:
- Soak rajma in water overnight.
- Drain and add just enough water to cover and pressure cook till soft.
- Mash it lightly.
- Heat the oil in a kadai.
- Fry onion, garlic and ginger till fragrant.
- Add all the powders, fry for few seconds.
- Add tomato puree, rajma, salt and sugar.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves, mix and remove from fire.
