Ingredients:

• Besan – 1 cup
• Water – 3 cups
• Onions – 2 (small)
• Green chillies (3/4)
• Curry leaves – 1 stalk
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Haldi powder – 1 tsp
• Grated Coconut
• Oil to fry – 2 tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Coriander – for garnishing

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, allow to splutter.
  2. Add chopped chillies and onions, fry till brown, then add haldi powder.
  3. Now add water, grated coconut and salt, allow to boil.
  4. Now add besan slowly stirring simultaneously avoiding besan lumps.
  5. Heat for another 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves. Makes a tasty dish with rice as well as chapattis too.
