
Ingredients:
• For Usili:
• Toor Dal – 1/2 cup
• Chana dal – 1 tbsp
• Red Chillies – 3
• Hing – 1 pinch
• Salt – To taste
• Curry leaves – 1 stick
• For curry:
• Broccoli – 1 bunch (cooked with salt and Turmeric powder)
• Seasoning:
• Oil
• Mustard – 1 tsp
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Green chillies – 1
• Curry leaves – 1 stick
Method:
- Grind the ingredients for usili into a coarse paste. Steam paste for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the seasoning.
- When golden brown, add the cooled usili and fry on low fire until it becomes small and crispy.
- When golden brown, add the cooked broccoli and fry for 5-10 minutes.
- This goes well with vathal kuzhambu rice or morkuzhambu.
