Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Toor Dal
• 2 – Garlic Cloves
• 1/2 cup – coconut, grated
• 4 – onions, chopped
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 1 – sprig of Curry leaves
• 1 – handful of Coriander leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 3 – Green chillies
Method:
- Cook soaked dal well with 1/2 onions, tomatoes, and turmeric in 2 cups of water.
- Fry onions and garlic in a kadai.
- Grind it with coconut and coriander to make a paste.
- To the cooked the dal, add chilli powder and salt and boil for 5-10 mins, adding a little water to it.
- Add the ground paste to the dal and boil for another 10 mins on low fire till smell of the masala leaves.
- Serve hot with chapattis, dosas or hot rice with ghee on it.
