Ingredients:

• Potatoes – 3
• peas – 1 cup
• Tomatoes – 3
• Coriander leaves -1 bunch
• Onions – 2
• Garlic – 7 flakes
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1/4 tsp
• Sugar – 1/2 tsp
• salt to taste
• vegetable oil – 2 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. Cook peas and potatoes.
  2. Grind onions, garlic, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder.
  3. Mash the potatoes.
  4. Blanch the tomatoes and puree it.
  5. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, season with cumin seeds and fry the ground mixture on medium flame, till the oil separates from it.
  6. Add the tomato puree and bring it to boil.
  7. Now add mashed potatoes and cooked peas.
  8. Add enough water and boil for few minutes.
  9. Remove from fire and garnish with cut coriander leaves. Serve hot.
