Ingredients:
• For paratha dough:
• 2 cups – Wheat flour
• 1 tbsp- Oil
• Salt to taste
• Water to knead
• For the filling:
• 1 cup- Fresh green gram
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1-2 -flakes – Garlic
• 1 inch piece – Ginger
• Salt to taste
• 3-4 pinches – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 2 pinches – Citric acid, powdered
• 3-4 pinches – Asafoetida
• 1/4 tsp- each- Cumin, Mustard, Sesame seeds
• 2 – Bread slices
• 1 tbsp- Oil.
Method:
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add the sesame seeds, ginger, green chillies, turmeric powder, garam masala, asafoetida, garlic, citric acid and chilli powder.
- Add the dal, 1.5 cups of water and salt.
- Cover and cook till dal is separated and tender.
- In the meanwhile, knead the dough and divide it into equal portions.
- Make small balls with each portion and flatten it.
- Now take a portion and put 1 tbsp of the cooked dal.
- Cover it well with the dough.
- Now roll out like parathas.
- Heat a griddle and cook with 1/2 tsp of oil frequently cook until both the sides are crisp.
- Serve with chutney.
