Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Rice
• 2 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 cup – roasted Cashew nut
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• Condensed milk, to bind
• 1/4 tsp – salt
Method:
- Wash the rice well. Drain and spread on a cloth and dry.
- Powder it in a mixer to the consistency of fine semolina (rava).
- Add 4 cups of water to the rice rava and cook in a thick pan till it forms a lump.
- Now add salt.
- Roast the poppy seeds and grind with cashewnuts into coarse powder.
- Add enough condensed milk to this powder, so that the mixture can be shaped into balls.
- Shape the rice mixture into lime sized balls, with a marble size cashewnut filling in the centre.
- Steam the balls for 8-10 mins.
- Serve warm.
