Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Rice
• 2 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 cup – roasted Cashew nut
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• Condensed milk, to bind
• 1/4 tsp – salt

Method:

  1. Wash the rice well. Drain and spread on a cloth and dry.
  2. Powder it in a mixer to the consistency of fine semolina (rava).
  3. Add 4 cups of water to the rice rava and cook in a thick pan till it forms a lump.
  4. Now add salt.
  5. Roast the poppy seeds and grind with cashewnuts into coarse powder.
  6. Add enough condensed milk to this powder, so that the mixture can be shaped into balls.
  7. Shape the rice mixture into lime sized balls, with a marble size cashewnut filling in the centre.
  8. Steam the balls for 8-10 mins.
  9. Serve warm.
