Ingredients:

• Large onions, chopped – 2
• Chick pea flour – 250 gms
• Ginger, chopped – 2 tbsp
• Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
• Curry leaves – 20
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Rice powder – 2 tbsp
• Cashewnuts, broken – 6 tbsp
• Chopped Green chillies – 3
• Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Oil for deep frying
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients, except the oil for deep frying together in a bowl.
  2. Add a little water to make a batter of coating consistency.
  3. Mix batter by hand for at least 3-4 mins.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai (wok) and drop batter, a teaspoon at a time.
  5. Fry about 6-10 bhajiyas at a time on medium heat until golden brown.
