Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Jeera Rice
• 3 – large Onions sliced into thin pieces
• 4 cups – boiled water
• 4 tbsp – Ghee
• 4- sticks of Cinnamon
• 6 – Cardamom
• 6 – Cloves

Method:

  1. Pour ghee into a thick bottomed vessel.
  2. Add all the masala into the ghee.
  3. When the masala starts to splutter, add onion and fry till they become transparent.
  4. Now add the washed rice and fry for 10 mins.
  5. Pour boiled water into the rice and add enough salt.
  6. Close the vessel and simmer till rice is cooked.
  7. Serve hot with Malabar chicken curry and raita.
