Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – fish (black pomfret), cut into pieces
• 150 gms – onion, chopped
• 150 ml – thick Coconut Milk
• 4 – green chillies, slit
• 12 flakes – garlic, chopped
• 2 tsp – ginger, chopped
• Curry leaves
• 3 petals – kudampuli, torn into pieces and soaked in 150 ml water
• 50 ml – oil
• Mustard Seeds
• Methi seeds
• salt to taste
• Mix the following powders with 4 tbsp of water:
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – coriander powder

Method:

  1. Apply, chilli, turmeric powders, garlic paste, salt on fish and marinate for half an hour.
  2. Then deep fry the fish pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and season with mustard, methi, garlic, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.
  4. Add onion and fry till soft.
  5. Add masala paste, fry well.
  6. Add kudampuli and boil till thick.
  7. Add fish, cook on low flame for few minutes.
  8. Add coconut milk, boil and remove.
