 
            Ingredients:
  • 2 cups – mixed vegetables 
 • 1/4 cup – Toor Dal 
 • 1/4 cup – split moong dal 
 • 1 – Onion (chopped) 
 • 1 – Tomato (chopped) 
 • 2 – Green chillies (slit) 
 • 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal 
 • 1 – dry Red Chilli 
 • 5 – Curry leaves 
 • 1 tsp – rasam powder 
 • salt to taste 
 • oil as needed 
Method:
- Wash the dals and pressure-cook up to 3 hisses.
- Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, urad dal and red chilli.
- When the seeds splutter, add the onion, green chillies and tomato and stir continuously until the onions turn translucent and the tomatoes mushy.
- Add the mixed vegetables and curry leaves to the pan and stir until they are a bit cooked.
- Add the cooked dals with salt and rasam powder and bring to boil.
- Put the flame on simmer, close the lid and cook for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice topped with ghee.
