Ingredients:

• 100g – Channa dal
• 2 – small Green chillies chopped
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 pinch – Asafoetida
• 1 bunch – coriander, chopped
• Salt as per taste
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tsp – tender coconut, grated

Method:

  1. Soak channa dal in water for 1 hour.
  2. Once dal is soaked, remove all water and dry.
  3. Grind dal in food processor.
  4. Heat oil and add mustard.
  5. When mustard seeds pop up, add green chilli, asafoetida, and turmeric.
  6. Add ground dal, salt, and lemon juice.
  7. Mix and cook for 3-5 mins.
  8. Garnish it with coriander and coconut.
