Ingredients:
• 1 cup – moong dal
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• Saffron colour – a pinch
• 3 cups – water
• 6 – Cashewnuts
• 10 – Raisins
Method:
- Dry roast the moong dal till a nice aroma rises.
- Grind to a fine powder, sieve and set aside.
- Fry cashew and raisins in a tbsp of ghee and keep aside.
- In the same pan, heat water. To the boiling water, add sugar, saffron colour and the fried cashews and raisins.
- Next, add the moong dal powder and the rest of the ghee and cook stirring continuously till the ghee separates.
