
Ingredients:
• 1 – grated fresh Coconut
• 3 tbsp – sooji
• 1 tsp – khuskhus
• 1 tsp – til
• 1/2 cup – powdered Sugar
• 1/8 tsp – elaichi powder
• juice of 1/2 Lime
• 1/2 cup – cashewnuts, chopped fine
• 1/2 cup – dates, chopped fine
• 1/2 cup – raisins, chopped fine
• For dough:
• 1 cup – Maida
• water to make a soft dough
Method:
- Roast grated fresh coconut on a warm tawa till dry.
- Fry a little each of sooji, khuskhus and til. Add to the fried coconut.
- Add powdered sugar, powdered elaichi, lemon juice, dates, raisins and cashewnuts.
- Mix together and taste to check sweetness.
- Make dough with maida and water, divide into small balls and roll out into thin medium-sized circles.
- Fill with a little of the filling, fold over to form half-circles, bind the edges with water and deep fry.
