Ingredients:

• 1 – grated fresh Coconut
• 3 tbsp – sooji
• 1 tsp – khuskhus
• 1 tsp – til
• 1/2 cup – powdered Sugar
• 1/8 tsp – elaichi powder
• juice of 1/2 Lime
• 1/2 cup – cashewnuts, chopped fine
• 1/2 cup – dates, chopped fine
• 1/2 cup – raisins, chopped fine
• For dough:
• 1 cup – Maida
• water to make a soft dough

Method:

  1. Roast grated fresh coconut on a warm tawa till dry.
  2. Fry a little each of sooji, khuskhus and til. Add to the fried coconut.
  3. Add powdered sugar, powdered elaichi, lemon juice, dates, raisins and cashewnuts.
  4. Mix together and taste to check sweetness.
  5. Make dough with maida and water, divide into small balls and roll out into thin medium-sized circles.
  6. Fill with a little of the filling, fold over to form half-circles, bind the edges with water and deep fry.
