Ingredients:

• Paneer – 350 grams
• Green peas – 100 grams
• Onion – 2 large
• Ginger – 1 tbsp
• Garlic – 2 tbsp
• Green chillies – 4 nos
• Tomatoes – 3 large
• Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
• Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
• Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
• Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
• Chat Masala – ½ tsp
• Water – 150 ml
• Salt – to taste
• Oil – 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Mince or finely chop paneer
  2. Finely chop onions, green chilli, tomatoes and coriander, store separately
  3. Make a paste of ginger and garlic
  4. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds, allow to splutter.
  5. Add chopped onion and sauté for 2 mins till translucent.
  6. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder saute for a minute.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, paneer and green peas.
  8. Cover and cook on low flame for 20 minutes with water. Stir occasionally.
  9. Add salt to taste.
  10. Remove from flame. Sprinkle chat masala and chopped coriander leaves. Cover and leave till ready to be served.
  11. Serve with toasted brown bread or roti.
  12. Always cook this recipe on low flame, covered with a lid to get a moisture filled fluffy bhurji.
