Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Almonds (soaked and peeled)
• 1 cup – Milk (or just enough to grind the Almonds coarsely in a blender)
• 2.5 cups – Sugar
• 1.5 cups – Ghee
Method:
- Soak the almonds for about 5 to 6 hours and peel the skin.
- Then measure 1 cup and grind it coarsely in a blender with the milk and empty it on a non-stick container in which you are going to prepare the burfi.
- Add sugar and cook on high flame initially and then reduce the heat gradually.
- Keep adding the ghee little by little.
- When the mixture begins to leave the sides pour it into a greased tray.
- A square or rectangle non-stick cookie sheet, or non-stick baking tray, or an aluminium foil tray will be perfect to spread the burfi as you can cut them into perfect squares.
- Cut it when it is still warm but firm enough.
