Ingredients:

• 1/4 kg – Potato
• 100 g – Cauliflower
• 1 carrot, medium size
• 8 to 10 French beans
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut
• 3 to 4 Red Chillies
• 2 tbsp – Green peas
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 2 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• 1/2 cup – onion, finely chopped
• 2 pieces Cinnamon
• 4 Cloves Garlic
• 2 cm Ginger
• salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 Cloves

Method:

  1. Peel and cut the potato into 1 cm cubes.
  2. Dice the carrot and beans.
  3. Cut cauliflower into small pieces.
  4. Combine all these and peas together.
  5. Add turmeric powder, salt and some water. Cook till soft.
  6. Dry roast all the ingredients from chillies to cinnamon and powder.
  7. Grind coconut with ginger, garlic and coriander leaves to a smooth paste.
  8. Mix the ground paste with the powdered ingredients.
  9. Heat the oil and fry onion till light brown.
  10. Add the prepared Masala and 1 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  11. Add the cooked vegetables and simmer for 5 more minutes (the consistency should be slightly thicker than Sambar).
  12. Serve hot with Poori or Chapatti.
