Ingredients:
• 1 pack – Prawns, big or medium sized.
• Onion – 1 big sized and chopped.
• Tomato – 1, chopped.
• Ginger and Garlic Paste – 3 tsp.
• Turmeric powder – 2 pinches.
• Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp for mixture and 3 tsp for cooking.
• Cloves – 3.
• Cinnamon Stick – a small piece.
• oil – 3 tsp.
• Salt – to taste.
• Garam Masala – 2 tsp.
Method:
- Add 2 tsp of red chilli powder, a pinch of turmeric powder, some salt and mix well with the washed prawns.
- Keep the prawns aside for some time.
- Heat a deep kadai and pour 3 tsps of oil.
- After the oil gets heated, add the chopped onions, cloves, cinnamon and saute until brown.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste, and fry for 5 minutes.
- To this, add a pinch of turmeric powder, tomatoes, red chilli powder, garam masala and fry on a medium fire.
- Allow the tomato juice to mix with the other ingredients.
- Now add the cleaned prawns to this and mix well. Then add 3 glasses of water.
- Let the water dry up and the gravy thicken.
- Once the gravy thickens, turn the stove off.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and squeeze some lime juice over it (optional).
