Ingredients:

• Rice-3 cups
• Toor dal-1/2 cup
• Chana dal- 1/2 cup
• 2 tsps – Coarsely crushed Black pepper
• 1/2 cup – Freshly grated Coconut
• 1 bunch of finely chopped Cilantro
• 4- Finely chopped Green chillies
• 1 tsp Cuminutes
• Salt
• Oil

Method:

  1. Blend the rice coarsely in a blender.
  2. Blend the dals coarsely in a blender.
  3. Soak the rice, tuvar dal and channa dal powders in lukewarm water adding sufficient salt. Make sure to add the water just enough to cover the mixture.
  4. Let the mixture set for about 1.5 hours.
  5. Add cumin, green chillies, coconut, coriander, crushed black pepper to the mixture and mix well.
  6. Meanwhile heat a griddle and grease it with 1 tsp of oil.
  7. Ladle batter into the centre of the pan and spread it around in a circular fashion (from inside out) shaping it into a thick dosa.
  8. Wait for a few seconds, then take 1 tsp of oil and spread it over the edges of the dosa.
  9. When the edges turn golden, flip the dosa on the other side. Again add 1 tsp of oil and cook it for a minute.
  10. Serve the dosa with butter.
