Ingredients:

• 25 – diced Red Chillies
• Dried shrimp paste – 2 tbsp
• 4 tbsp – Tamarind paste
• 1/2 cup – water
• 1 tsp – dark soya sauce
• 6 tbsp – Brown sugar
• 1 – Cucumber
• 2 – Raw Mango
• 1/2 can – Pineapple
• 1 – Star fruit (optional)
• 1 – Jackfruit (optional)
• 200 g – Turnip
• 100 g – Sweet Potato
• 2 tbsp – black shrimp paste
• 150 g – Peanut candy or roasted Peanuts, ground coarsely
• 1 tbsp – roasted sesame seeds

Method:

  1. Add the chillies, shrimp paste, soya sauce, brown sugar with the tamarind paste and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook on low heat till the sugar dissolves and sauce thickens. Let it cool.
  3. Add all the cut vegetables and fruits into the sauce, along with the black shrimp paste, and mix well. Cook till done.
  4. Garnish with ground peanut candy and roasted sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
