
Ingredients:
• 25 – diced Red Chillies
• Dried shrimp paste – 2 tbsp
• 4 tbsp – Tamarind paste
• 1/2 cup – water
• 1 tsp – dark soya sauce
• 6 tbsp – Brown sugar
• 1 – Cucumber
• 2 – Raw Mango
• 1/2 can – Pineapple
• 1 – Star fruit (optional)
• 1 – Jackfruit (optional)
• 200 g – Turnip
• 100 g – Sweet Potato
• 2 tbsp – black shrimp paste
• 150 g – Peanut candy or roasted Peanuts, ground coarsely
• 1 tbsp – roasted sesame seeds
Method:
- Add the chillies, shrimp paste, soya sauce, brown sugar with the tamarind paste and water in a small saucepan.
- Cook on low heat till the sugar dissolves and sauce thickens. Let it cool.
- Add all the cut vegetables and fruits into the sauce, along with the black shrimp paste, and mix well. Cook till done.
- Garnish with ground peanut candy and roasted sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
