Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Cabbage, chopped
• 1 – Green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1.5 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera/Cumin seeds
• 2 tsp – Oil
• 1/2-inch cube – Jaggery
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• 1/2 cup – Water
• Salt to taste
Method:
- In a pan add oil and when hot add mustard seeds, jeera, urad dal and as they splutter add green chillies.
- Once urad dal changes colour to golden brown, add the chopped cabbage and mix well.
- Now add jaggery, turmeric powder, salt to taste and water and cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Cook till all water is evaporated and cabbage is cooked.
- Once done, add curry leaves and give a mix.
