
Ingredients:
• 2 cans – Tuna fish
• 2- Onions (chopped finely)
• 1- inch Ginger (chopped finely)
• 5- Garlic pods, (chopped finely)
• 3- Green chillies, (chopped finely)
• 1/2 tsp – Pepper powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Fennel seed powder
• 1/2 cup – Coconut, (grated)
• 1 tsp – Cumin seed powder
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves, (chopped)
• Salt to taste
• Oil.
Method:
- Drain the water from the tuna fish cans and mash the fish in a bowl.
- Now add the pepper powder, cumin seed powder, turmeric powder, fennel seed powder, salt and mix everything well.
- Then heat oil in a pan, splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal. Now add the chopped ginger, chopped green chillies and chopped garlic pieces to the seeds and saute until slightly brown.
- Add the chopped onions and saute until pink.
- Now add the fish and toss everything together and simmer until the water dries up and gets fried.
- Now sprinkle the puttu with the chopped coriander leaves and the grated coconut, cook for few minutes and remove from the stove.
- Serve with rice.
