
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – all – purpose flour
• 1 cup – Whole Wheat flour
• 1 tbsp – Active Dry yeast
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Salt
• 1/2 cup – Luke warm Milk
• 2 tbsp – Olive oil
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves (chopped)
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli flakes
• 1/2 tsp – Dry Oregano
• 1/2 tsp – Dry Thyme leaves
• 1 tbsp – Butter.
Method:
- Add the yeast, sugar and salt to the lukewarm water and keep aside until the yeast turns foamy.
- Combine the flours in a bowl with coriander leaves, red chilly flakes, dry oregano and dry thyme leaves, and gradually add the foamy yeast, olive oil and water.
- Now knead into a soft and smooth dough.
- Cover the bowl and keep the dough in a warm place for 2 hours.
- Once it doubles in size, punch it down and dust it with flour.
- Then roll it into medium sized twisted strips.
- Now arrange the rolled breadsticks over a baking sheet lined over the baking tray.
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Arrange the baking pan in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 25-30 mins until the crust of the bread stick turns golden brown.
- Immediately brush the bread sticks with the butter.
- Serve warm with a bowl of soup.
