Ingredients:

• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin seeds, powdered
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 250 gms – Tamarind pulp
• 1 tsp – Vinegar
• 3 cups – water

Method:

  1. Soak the tamarind in water overnight.
  2. The next day, remove the seeds. Blend the tamarind pulp and strain into a sauce pan.
  3. Add salt, cumin powder and sugar and boil for 10 mins.
  4. Add chilli powder and vinegar.
  5. Cool and store in a refrigerator for up to 60 days.
