Ingredients:

• 5-6 – tomatoes, medium
• 1 tsp – sesame seeds
• 1 tsp – Flax seeds
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3-4 – Green chillies
• 3 tsp – Mustard oil
• For tempering :
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Channa dal
• 3-4 – Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Mustard oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add sesame seeds and fry for a minute. Keep aside.
  2. Roast flax seeds in the same pan and keep aside.
  3. In the same pan, add tomatoes, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Cover the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes turn tender. Let it cool.
  4. Grind flax seeds and add it to the tomato mix.
  5. Mix everything together and blend in a chutney jar.
  6. For tempering, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add curry leaves, channa dal, urad dal and cumin seeds. Fry for a minute.
  7. Pour this tadka over the chutney. Mix well.
