Ingredients:
• 5-6 – tomatoes, medium
• 1 tsp – sesame seeds
• 1 tsp – Flax seeds
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3-4 – Green chillies
• 3 tsp – Mustard oil
• For tempering :
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Channa dal
• 3-4 – Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Mustard oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add sesame seeds and fry for a minute. Keep aside.
- Roast flax seeds in the same pan and keep aside.
- In the same pan, add tomatoes, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Cover the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes turn tender. Let it cool.
- Grind flax seeds and add it to the tomato mix.
- Mix everything together and blend in a chutney jar.
- For tempering, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add curry leaves, channa dal, urad dal and cumin seeds. Fry for a minute.
- Pour this tadka over the chutney. Mix well.
