
Ingredients:
• 250 g – tooriyas
• 100 g – Poppy Seeds
• 1 – medium potato, peeled and cubed
• 1/4 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – black Jeera
• 2 – green chillies, sliced
• 1 – small piece Ginger
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt and chilli powder to taste
Method:
- Grind poppy seeds to a paste.
- Peel and slice tooriyas.
- Heat 2 tbsps oil, and add kalajeera and the vegetables and fry nicely, put in the rest of the above ingredients with the exception of poppy seeds.
- Mix well and put in 1 cup water.
- Cook till the vegetables are almost done, then put in poppy seeds and cook till the vegetables are tender and completely dry.
- Pour in 2 tbsps oil and fry till the mixture turns to a rich brown colour and a nice smell comes out of the poppy seeds.
