
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rava (medium coarse semolina)
• 1 cup – Rice flour
• 1/2 cup – All-purpose flour/Maida
• 3-4 – Green chillies, finely chopped
• 2 – Onion
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1-inch grated – Ginger
• 2 sprigs – Curry leaves, finely chopped
• Water as required (About 4.5 cups)
• Salt to taste
• Oil to smear
Method:
- Mix all the dry ingredients – rava, rice flour, maida, cumin seeds, green chillies, curry leaves, grated ginger and salt.
- Now add water slowly with constant mixing to avoid formation of lumps.
- Make a batter with consistency equivalent to buttermilk.
- Chop onions finely and keep aside.
- Now grease a flat hot griddle/tawa and sprinkle chopped onions on it.
- Add batter a little by little and cover the onions.
- Let it cook, uncovered, on a medium to high flame.
- It takes good amount of time to get cooked.
- Once done, smear oil on top and take off the dosa from the tawa.
- Serve hot onion rava dosa with any chutney of your choice.
