
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup each – chopped Dates and chopped Walnuts
• Sugar – to taste
• Vegetable Oil
• Curd – 1 tbsp
• Milk – 1/3 cup
• Maida – 1 cup
• Baking soda – 1 tsp
Method:
- Grind together chopped dates, sugar, milk and curd to a smooth paste
- Pour in a mixing bowl and add oil. Fold oil in properly
- Take maida and baking soda and sieve twice together
- Add this to the batter along with walnuts
- Now mix this batter till light and fluffy
- Meanwhile, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F
- Take a baking dish and powder it with flour
- Pour in the batter
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 mins
- Check after 45 mins. If the knife comes out clean, it’s done.
- Serve with kheer or custard
