Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Rice flour
• 5 – Red Chillies to taste(broken to small pieces)
• 1 small Lemon size – Imli
• 1 cup – oil
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – rai
• Asafetida
• Curry leaves
• Salt

Method:

  1. Soak imli in hot water for 10 mins and extract juice in 2 cups of water.
  2. Add the imli juice, salt to the rice flour and make soft dough of it.
  3. Take a kadai and add oil. When hot add rai, urad dal, curry leaves, red chillies, and asafoetida.
  4. When urad dal becomes brown, add the prepared dough into the oil and keep stirring till done.
  5. Cool it for some time and add this upma in to the mixer grinder and grind just for 1 minute.
