Ingredients:

• 4 – Potatoes (cubed)
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Chilli powder as needed
• 4 Green chillies (split)
• 1/2 of a medium sized – Tomato (chopped finely)
• 3 Cloves
• 1/2 a stick – Cinnamon
• 2 Cloves – Garlic
• 1/2 inch piece – Ginger
• 2 tsp – Chicken Masala
• 1 medium sized – Onion (chopped)
• Coriander leaves handful

Method:

  1. Boil the cubed potatoes with salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, and 1 tsp. of chicken masala till its soft but without breaking.
  2. Crush the cloves, cinnamon, garlic and ginger together and fry it in oil till it sputters.
  3. Next add the chopped onions and fry till it’s golden brown. Then add coriander leaves and chillies.
  4. Put a little more chilli powder if needed, 1 tsp of chicken masala and fry it with the chopped tomatoes. Fry till the oil separates.
  5. Add the potatoes to it and fry it till it turn golden brown. Serve with rice or with Kerala porotta.
