
Ingredients:
• Urad Dal-1 cup
• Green Chilli-2
• Red Chilli-2
• Asafoetida-1/4 tsp
• Salt-to taste
• Curry Leaves-1 sprig
• Mustard-1/2 tsp
• Oil-3 tsp
• Grated Coconut-3 tsp
Method:
- Soak urad dal in water for 20 minutes. Drain and place it in a blender.
- Add salt, asafoetida, green chilli, red chilli and grind well.
- Mix the mixture well and then, you can grease an idli steamer. Place the mixture in the moulds and steam for 10 minutes.
- Once cooled, crumble them with your hands. In a pan, add oil and mustard followed by curry leaves.
- Add the crumbled urad dal mixture. With that, add grated coconut. Mix well. Once it is done, serve hot immediately.
