Ingredients:
• 1.5 cup – Whole Wheat flour
• 1 – Avocado, scooped out
• 2 tsp – Lemon juice
• 2 – Green chillies
• 2-3 – Garlic pods, chopped finely
• Salt to taste
• Oil to smear on dough
• Butter to smear on parathas
• Whole Wheat flour for dusting.
Method:
- Scoop out the avocado pulp.
- Mash it well using your hands.
- Make into a paste by adding lemon juice into it.
- Add green chillies, garlic, salt and mix well.
- To this add whole wheat flour and keep kneading till you get a non-sticky pliable dough.
- I used approximately 1 1/2 cup of wheat flour. You may need a little more or less depending on the moisture in your avocado fruit.
- Do not add any water.
- Smear little oil on top of the dough. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Then make small round balls out of it.
- Take one ball, dust it with wheat flour.
- Flatten out the ball in to a round disc using a roller.
- Place it on a hot tawa/griddle and cook on one side.
- When you see bubbles, flip to other side.
- Cook the other side well.
- Smear butter on either sides and transfer it on to a serving plate.
