Ingredients:

• 1.5 cup – Whole Wheat flour
• 1 – Avocado, scooped out
• 2 tsp – Lemon juice
• 2 – Green chillies
• 2-3 – Garlic pods, chopped finely
• Salt to taste
• Oil to smear on dough
• Butter to smear on parathas
• Whole Wheat flour for dusting.

Method:

  1. Scoop out the avocado pulp.
  2. Mash it well using your hands.
  3. Make into a paste by adding lemon juice into it.
  4. Add green chillies, garlic, salt and mix well.
  5. To this add whole wheat flour and keep kneading till you get a non-sticky pliable dough.
  6. I used approximately 1 1/2 cup of wheat flour. You may need a little more or less depending on the moisture in your avocado fruit.
  7. Do not add any water.
  8. Smear little oil on top of the dough. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  9. Then make small round balls out of it.
  10. Take one ball, dust it with wheat flour.
  11. Flatten out the ball in to a round disc using a roller.
  12. Place it on a hot tawa/griddle and cook on one side.
  13. When you see bubbles, flip to other side.
  14. Cook the other side well.
  15. Smear butter on either sides and transfer it on to a serving plate.
