Ingredients:

• 4 tbsp – Coriander seeds
• 8 – Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 tbsp – sesame seeds
• 1 tbsp – ground nuts
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1 tbsp – Toor Dal
• 1 tbsp – moong dal
• 5 – cashews
• 1/2 tsp – asafetida powder
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat a kadai, dry roast coriander seeds and red chillies till a nice aroma comes. Keep aside.
  2. Now roast toor dal and channa dal for 3 minutes and keep aside.
  3. Roast moong dal and urad dal and keep aside.
  4. Roast poppy seeds and sesame seeds together and keep aside.
  5. Roast ground nuts and cashew nuts together and keep aside.
  6. Let all the ingredients cool.
  7. After 5 minutes, grind all ingredients along with asafoetida powder and salt.
  8. Store this powder in an air-tight container.
  9. Serve with hot rice along with ghee or til oil.
