
Ingredients:
• Milk – 2 tbsp
• Sugar – as needed
• Any food color – a pinch
• Cardamom powder – 2 pinch
• Ghee – 1/2 tsp
• Cashew nuts – 200 g
• Badam – 50 g
• Sugar – 500 g
• Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
Method:
- Soak cashew nuts and badam together in hot water for 10 minutes.
- Blanch the almonds. Grind them in a mixie adding 2 tbsp of milk to a smooth paste.
- Grease a plate with 1/2 tsp of ghee and keep aside.
- Measure the paste and add sugar 1.5 times of the measured quantity.
- Take the sugar and the paste in a non-stick pan and heat.
- In a low flame, stir till the sugar dissolves and mix well with the paste.
- Now add the food colour, keep stirring. After 5 minutes, add the elaichi powder and stir again for 3 minutes.
- The mixture will be slightly thick. Now remove the pan from the heat and keep mixing it with a wooden ladle for about 3 mins till the mixture leave the sides of the pan and it becomes thick.
- Immediately transfer the content to the greased plate and use butter paper to level the mixture.
- Now make the desired shape, cut it with a knife. Leave it aside until it cools completely.
