Ingredients:
• 4-5 – Cucumber
• 1 tsp – Saunf (fennel seeds)
• 2 – red dry chillies
• 1 tsp – cumin (jeera) seeds
• 2 – Bay Leaf (tejpatha)
• 1/2 tsp – cumin (kala Jeera)
• 1/2 tsp – coriander (dhania powder)
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tbsp – Lime juice
• salt to taste
• 2 tsp – oil
Method:
- Peel the skin of the cucumbers and chop into average pieces either round or long.
- Do not wash them.
- Heat oil in a pan, once the oil is hot switch the gas off.
- Add saunf, red chillies, jeera, tej patta and kala jeera.
- Switch on the gas once again, now add the cucumber and keep on low flame.
- Cover with a lid.
- Keep putting a few drops of water over the lid to prevent the contents inside the pan from getting charred.
- After the cucumber is cooked, add dhania powder, red chilli powder and stir.
- Finally add sugar and lime juice.
- The khatti meethi lipsmacking dish is ready.
