Ingredients:

• 4-5 – Cucumber
• 1 tsp – Saunf (fennel seeds)
• 2 – red dry chillies
• 1 tsp – cumin (jeera) seeds
• 2 – Bay Leaf (tejpatha)
• 1/2 tsp – cumin (kala Jeera)
• 1/2 tsp – coriander (dhania powder)
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tbsp – Lime juice
• salt to taste
• 2 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Peel the skin of the cucumbers and chop into average pieces either round or long.
  2. Do not wash them.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, once the oil is hot switch the gas off.
  4. Add saunf, red chillies, jeera, tej patta and kala jeera.
  5. Switch on the gas once again, now add the cucumber and keep on low flame.
  6. Cover with a lid.
  7. Keep putting a few drops of water over the lid to prevent the contents inside the pan from getting charred.
  8. After the cucumber is cooked, add dhania powder, red chilli powder and stir.
  9. Finally add sugar and lime juice.
  10. The khatti meethi lipsmacking dish is ready.
