Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Mutton or Beef cut into medium size pieces
• 2 bunches fresh Spinach green (wash and cut into strips) or 1 tin canned Spinach
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1 tsp spice powder or Garam Masala powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 3 Onions sliced
• 2 Tomatoes chopped
• salt to taste
• 3 Green chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 2 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry the onions well.
  2. Add the green chillies, ginger and garlic paste and saute lightly.
  3. Add the tomatoes, chilli powder, spice powder, coriander powder and fry for some time.
  4. Add the meat and the spinach greens, mix well and continue to fry for some time till the oil separates from the masala and the greens shrivel up.
  5. Add salt and 2 cups of water and pressure cook till done.
