
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – basmati Rice
• 2 – Onions for paste
• 1/2 cup – green masala (grind Mint leaves, coriander leaves, garlic, Coconut and Green chillies as per your taste)
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 8 tbsp – oil/ghee
• 1 to 1.5 cup – kabuli channa, soaked in water for 6 hours and then pressure cooked
• 1 – 1.5 cups – water
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• Tomato and Onion slices for garnishing
Method:
- Soak the rice in water for 15 mins.
- Drain all the water and fry the rice in a pan with 2 tbsp of ghee for 5 mins.
- Heat 8 tbsp of ghee/oil in a pressure cooker and add the onion paste.
- Fry till it becomes light brown.
- Add the green masala, cooked Kabuli channa, water, salt, turmeric powder and fried rice.
- Cook this mixture for one whistle.
- Garnish with sliced onions and tomatoes.
- Pour 1 tbsp of lemon juice while serving.
