Ingredients:

• 6 – thick slices of whole Wheat bread
• 25 g – salted Butter
• 1/2 tin – condensed Milk
• 1 cup – Milk
• 2 – eggs, lightly beaten
• 2 tbsp – Raisins
• 1 pinch – Nutmeg powder

Method:

  1. Preheat oven (OTG) at 160 C.
  2. Trim the edges of bread and spread butter on both sides and cut into triangular pieces.
  3. Arrange the slices in layers in an 8 inch x 6 inch oven proof dish.
  4. Sprinkle raisins in between the layers.
  5. In a bowl, mix together condensed milk, milk, eggs and nutmeg and beat lightly.
  6. Pour the mixture over the bread slices and bake for 30 – 40 minutes till the top is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm or cold, as desired.
