Ingredients:
• 500 g – prawns, cleaned and deveined
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 4 tbsp – Olive oil (or refined oil)
• 2 tsp – paprika
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1 tbsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – cayenne
• Salt – to taste
• 1 – lemon, squeezed
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients, except oil, along with the prawns. Let it rest for at least an hour. If in a hurry, you can marinate for just 5-10 minutes (the more you marinate, better the taste).
- Heat oil in a pan, over medium high heat and drop in the marinated prawns and let it cook.
- At first cook them on high heat, for a couple of minutes, or till they curl up.
- Flip the prawns and cook for a minute.
- Lower the heat and cook for about 5 more minutes.
- Transfer the prawns to an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot. This goes well with rice.
- You can even serve it as a starter.
